Competitive All Sports Camps

You're Not Done Playing!

Great news!  Your 10-14 year old is not too old to camp! At BaxterSports, the fun matures as the campers mature. Maybe they’re done with wacky hair day and talent show, but they still want to scrimmage, play games, hang with friends, and experience the excitement of the Olympics. With our Competitive All Sports Camp, we’ve combined the fun and variety of All Sports Camp with the skill building, mental training, tournament play, and character development of Competitive Soccer Camps, to create this one of a kind week-long experience for older athletes.

Why All Sports?

Shouldn’t my player specialize in one sport early to be good at it? Most science and research tells us the opposite. Advantages for young athletes who take a multi-sport approach include:

  • Experience less overuse injuries
  • Experience less burnout
  • Actually become better athletes in their primary sport

But most importantly, more sports usually equals more fun!

Character Development and Mindset Training

I think we can all agree that “win at all costs” is not a good way for young athletes to learn to compete.

Healthy Competition, on the other hand, is not only good, it’s necessary.

You win and lose in life, and those wins and losses aren’t as important as how you handle it.

Learn: The next evolution of the RIGHT Way: how to deal with the ups and downs of competing.

Learn: Skill development through a range of multi-sport sport training

Learn: How to win with class, and how to lose with dignity.

Learn: How to be one of the best of your peers in a certain sport, and how to be not one of the best in a different one.

Learn: How to be a great teammate, how to be coachable, and how to be a leader.

Experienced Mentorship

Is your young athlete playing or interested in playing high school sports?  All of our coaches have been there and done that and many are still doing it!  At Competitive All Sports Camp, your camper will be coached and mentored by athletes who have been in their shoes and know what it takes to get to the next level.

What To Expect From a Week at Camp

Each day, campers will immerse themselves in a new sport, honing their technique in the morning before putting those skills into action in afternoon games. While each camp may vary week-to-week to reflect coaches’ and campers’ interests, sports typically include:  soccer, flag football, basketball, ultimate, dodgeball, kickball, and more. Daily sessions will also cover a range of topics, including preparation, nutrition, yoga, and sport psychology.
Campers will be assigned to teams and participate in a tournament format throughout the week, fostering an environment where they feel part of something larger than themselves.
